A HUGE congratulations to Ann-Maree who has just achieved a HIGH DISTINCTION grade for her recent teaching prac experience!!!  With one more subject and prac to go Ann-Maree is set to complete her 4 year Bachelor of Early Childhood Education by the end of this year.
We feel very fortunate to have someone of her calibre working with Sapphire, Melissa & Nicole (currently on annual leave) in our preschool room.

Today we're celebrating Sapphire's return to work after her third period of maternity leave.  Sapphire has been an integral part of the Green Gables family since 2006 so it's fabulous to welcome her home.
Sapphire will be working Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday in the Preschool room.  She's very keen to meet the new families that have joined Green Gables over the past 6 months so please introduce yourselves.

Please welcome Lizzy to the Green Gables team.  She will be cooking for us each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday while Beatriz continues cooking on Monday and Tuesdays.  Lizzy and Bea have both completed their certificates in food hygiene and preparation and will keep your children healthy and full of food cooked with love.

Just a reminder, our 4 weekly rotating menu is on display on the parent information wall.  It has been carefully designed to be nutritionally balanced in accordance with the 'Caring for Children Nutrition Checklist for Long Day Care Menu Planning'.  

We are always interested in your feedback and any of your favourite recipes to incorporate into the next review.

Please remember to send a labelled water bottle with your child each day AND to take them home for regular washing.

Since Koula's departure we have advertised, interviewed, observed and finally we have some great news for you...

This week we welcomed Katrina Lynn to the Green Gables team and family.  She is mature minded, friendly, organised and most importantly, passionate about engaging with children, exploring their interests and helping them learn through play.

She comes to us with experience and her certificate 3 in children's services.  She also holds other valuable qualifications including certificates in First Aid, Anaphylaxis Management and Asthma Management and is currently completing her Diploma in Children's Services.

We look forward to getting to know Katrina better and can't wait to see what her fresh eyes bring to the caterpillar Room, where she will be working each Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with Sapphire, Amanda & Nicole.

Please introduce yourself to Katrina and help her feel at home.  If you have any queries please approach your child's teachers.

Nicole Massaria is joining the Green Gables team today!

She comes to us fresh and with no experience in education so we can teach her everything we know.  She has a relaxed and natural way with children and they seem drawn to her.  

Over the coming months Nicole will be completing a work-based traineeship with a view to completing her Certificate 3 in Children's Services.

We're very excited about working with Nicole.
