HELP WITH HYGIENE
The National Quality Standards (NQS) requires that children have access to drinking water at all times. At Green Gables we ensure this by asking families to provide water bottles and by keeping these bottles with us all day - inside, outside, mealtimes, playtime. With all this use and travel they tend to get dirty inside and out. To help keep the water bottles and baskets clean and germ-free, please remove your child's bottle from the basket each day and take it home for washing. When children's bottles are left at home we have spares for them to use. These are washed and sanitized between uses. Please let us know in the morning if your child requires a spare for the day. Thanks for you cooperation.

Hand foot and mouth disease We have 2 reported cases and 1 suspected case of this highly infectious disease. Please read the attached information so you can look out for the symptoms and keep your child at home if you feel it appropriate. At Green Gables we are continuously protecting children from cross contamination by washing hands, washing toys, teaching the children about hygiene, discouraging the sharing of water bottles, sanitising eating utensils and more. The more cautious we all are the better. If children at Kindy present with symptoms their parents will be contacted to collect them ASAP for a visit to the doctor. Thanks in advance for your cooperation, The GGK Team |
