Dear Parents,
Please be aware that a case of chicken pox has been reported today. The infected child usually attends on Monday and Wednesday. Below is an information sheet detailing the symptoms to look out for, the exclusion periods associated with the disease and more. If your child has an unexplained fever and a clear, runny nose it may be best to err on the side of caution and keep them home for further observation. Important to know is that children that have been immunised still may contract an active case of chicken pox but the infectious period will be dramatically reduced. Pregnant women should take particular care to avoid exposure to this illness. Thanks for reading, Green Gables Girls
