Courses for Dads

Dear Parents & Friends.
However biased this may seem it still may be of interest to some...

Children love their fathers, and men have a special role to play in their families.  Unfortunately, things are stacked against dads on the parenting front.  Parenting is treated as a hobby at the best of times, and  men are "really supposed to be out there earning a living”.  The pressure can rob men of the time and the space to pay enough attention to their families.  This Introductory Evening will give dads and their supporters an opportunity to hear about how the tools of Parenting by Connection can support fathers (and other men) in their relationship with their children. 

The 6 week course is a chance for Dads (and other men who care for children) to meet with 10-12 others over 6 classes to:
·         learn practical, effective ways to respond to their children's emotional needs;
·         learn how to set limits in a way that builds strong relationships;
·         take home six very practical tools for resolving children's off-track behaviour and improving connection in their family;
·         develop an action plan for themselves and their family.

When:        6.30 - 9.00 p.m. Monday 8th April 2013.
Where:      Marrickville.
Cost:           Free.

What:          6 x 2.5 hour classes - you should plan to attend all classes.
When:         6.30 - 9.00 p.m. starting Monday 6th May 2013, and then each Monday evening finishing on 17th June 2013.
Where:       Marrickville.
Cost:            The course is free but there is a $40 charge for course materials.  If this is a problem, please contact us as we may be able to make arrangements.
