We have just added the Sun Smart UV Alert to our Home Page.
Our staff check this everyday before taking the children outside to determine the level of sun protection required. The UV Index is a simple way to show the intensity of the sun's UV radiation. The values of the Index range from zero upward; the higher the value, the greater the potential for skin damage. It divides UV radiation levels into:
The UV alert shows when the UV Index is forecast to be 3 or above for the day. It identifies the hours of each day when the UV Index will be 3 or above, so you can stay inside during those times, or use sun protection if you're outside.
